Mobil 1 is one of the best oils out there. Amsoil has been putting down Mobil 1 for 15+ years. There is a reason that Mobil 1 is factory fill on most Porsche, BMW, Corvette, etc. Todays cars take a specific oil at times such as BMW LL01 and LL04 tests. Only German Castrol and Mobil 1 pass this test here in the states. LL04 oils are not available in states though. For the most part, and I never thought I would say this, for most cars today, oil is oil be it dino or synthetic. The Mobil 1 for my car is about 6.50 a quart when I can find it, about the same as the Amsoil Euro formula, but Amsoil is not approved for use by BMW and BMW actually has a list of approved oils. If I were you, I would use the specific S2000 filter over the Amsoil filter. I have used and raced on Mobil 1 products in most of my cars over the years.
