Engine oil doesn't matter if you change it as much as most of us.

Diff fluid also doesn't matter either for the same reason EXCEPT that many people (me included) can feel a difference in the diff fluids. I hated redline in both my diff and tranny, I'm also not a fan of the Honda stuff. Mobil 1 is pretty good but LE1605 is still the best by far.

10-30 Amsoil is a great stuff, try it out your car will like it. Car runs smooth, unlike with thin Mobil 1. I use it in the motor and diff(75-90) You can find it at Andersons. I have used RP before for about 2 years it worked great, but i think i will stick with Amsoil for now.

I can buy Amsoil ATM at The Andersons' and Redline at a couple of performance shops. Why do you feel I should choose Redline over Amsoil?
I truly have no feelings that you should. I have tried Amsoil in other cars, thought it was fine. Just if I was trying something other than the Mobile 1 EP that I use, thats what I'd try.

Personally, considering how often most of us change motor, trans and diff; its probably all good. If I was on BMW/MB computer determined maintence (which has very long periods between fluid changes), I would be very concerned as to what fluids went in.

I have a backround flying light aircraft. The debate there was generally settled that synthetics should be used in frequently flown engines, and dino oil in infrequently used aircraft. Dino oil seems to cling better over time to the internal components, reducing internal corosion, and wear at initiall startup. So considering my car is not a DD, I should probably be using dino oil

When it comes to Price of AmsOil there is a item called the "Preferred Customer" Its cost $20 for ONE year and gives you 20-25% less than regular retail prices. You can get more than just oil on this account and since i always buy in balk for me and family it comes in handy. Plus if your a racer you can get it free under there contract.

I run AmsOil products in my CR and have no complaints about it.
0w-30 runs the best in my car btw.

I know what you mean. I get a real kick out of the guys in some of the other S2KI forums who obsess over getting the absolute "best" oil for "their baby" when it's leased and going back to the dealer with 40k miles on it.

i use amsoil in my engine and use their oilfilter. its no more expensive than any of the other synthetics $6.70 a quart and $12.15 for the filter. honda mtf. and just for now the almsoil le607 in the diff(only cause it came with the car, thanks to rich ). mobil 1 i stay away from because of experience
amsoil will ship out of columbus so you get it within a day or so and i've found more positive info about amsoil than negative.

my brothers mercedes runs smoother too compared to mobil 1 with amsoil

I hate to argue but Amsoil is considerably more expensive.

Walmart $22.88 for a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1

Costco has 6 quarts of Mobil 1 on sale a few times a year at $10 off of $29.99... so $19.99 for 6 quarts. I'm going to buy some this weekend.

$8 for the Honda Filter that is an exceptional filter.

Also, i've seen a million claims like your brothers with zero proof. it's all psychological.

well since the oil with amsoil synthetic filter is guaranteed for 25,000 miles if you ran it that long its cheaper. its the once a year oil change. i would use castrol syntec, pennzoil patinum, valvoline syn power, royal purple, any of those before putting another mobil one product in my car. but every body has their opinions and beliefs
