put some Alcantara suede on the headliner of a H2 last week its kinda slipper so what good that would do on a race car I have no idea
hmmm I dunno. It is slippery, but when in contact with other textiles, its grippy. Like your clothes on suede, compared to straight leather. I know on Audi cars with Alcantara inserts, the seats do help grip you in so you dont slide around the seats when cornering hard.
F1 cars have similar steering wheel textures. Actually almost all race cars have that.
