Default Northwest Ohio meet

While it is obvious that the masses are around the Cleveland/Columbus areas it seems that there are atleast a few of us around this area. I was thinking that maybe the few of us owners could plan a mini-meet. Of course if other Ohio S2k guys really wanted to make the drive to our flat little corner of the state you would be more than welcome

I am just going to throw this up here with the intent that we can plan something with in the next few weeks (maybe even next weekend, as the forcast for this weekend seems crappy). Since everything is dependant on forcast, it may be one of those things that a date is not established until a week or so prior. We can use this thread to come up with some ideas of places to meet.

If we wanted to do a small drive the only road I know around here is Route 65, so maybe something down that way like Grand rapids?? I am just thowing out some ideas, so keep them coming.

I'd make a run up there. Damn is 75 boring or what? If it's sunny, I'd show.

Like I said in the other topic a cookout would be good. There are plenty of parks to have it at in Toledo.

I think we should try to do it in April, I personally have the 1st weekend (next) and the last weekend available.

There are a few parks that could work:

Ottawa Park-in town near UT campus, has a pretty fun golf course and also has a disc golf course. Downfalls are that it is not in the greatest area IMO

Swan Creek Metro park-Pretty decent park with some nice hiking trails and large fields for football etc. Not to many downfalls except it is only a two minute drive for me LOL

Sidecut Metro park-nice park with hiking trails right on the river, this is close enough to Rt. 65 that we could do a drive. Biggest downfall is that during these times the Walleye run is on and any park along the river this close to Toledo will be packed.

Metro park in Napoleon (not sure of the name)-This is a nice park on the river, but due to how far downstream it is I doubt it will be to packed with fisherman. It is close to some decently scenic drives, although it may not be to impressive for you guys from down south.

Park in Bowling Green (a bit closer for southern guys)- This park is pretty nice and I think it has grills, but not sure. It does have baseball fields and a disc golf course (yes I like disc golf). This is also close to some roads we can drive.

Local guys feel free to throw more options out there!!

Scotch Ridge Road (105 I think) northeast out of BG is a nice road. 65 from Waterville to Grand Rapids is also nice.
