New toy installed
Installed my new Comptech 4-1 header last night. Install was pretty straight forward, it took around 3 hours total.
Some install tips:
-Be sure to buy a new donunt gasket for the header, you wont be able to re-use the old one since its formed to the stock header.
-The stock header removes easiest from the bottom, not up from the engine bay
-For the Comptech 4-1 it install's the easiest from the bottom of the engine bay lifting up ( I belive the Toda and the Mugen you can get them in from the top down)
-Tighen down the header from the bottom up, i.e tighten the bolts where it attaches to cat/testpipe first, then the bolts that attach the header to the head.
Other then that just follow this guide here that Xviper made https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=144699
Impressions:
-Car is even more rev happy (I have the Comptech lightweight flywheel aswell, with this header in it made a noticable difference too, the car is super rev happy)
-Exhuast note changed slightly, in the way that it lessoned the drone from the exhaust and TP, there is still some drone, but not that much.
-Theres a nice roar up front now that adds to the rear sound coming from the Buddy Club dual I have
-Car feels a little bit quicker, but that may be just me, Im not sure if you can feel 10-15hp (claimed by s/c guys) added to the upper 200's-300 hp that I already have.
I only took 2 pics:

You would think for the price that Comptech would include the collector donut too !
I would suggest to retorque the header after a few hours of use to allow for the natural thermo expansion that happens. This will also save the header gasket and protect against leaks caused by gasket blow-out

Mark,
Nice write up. Alot of the same improvements that you mentioned (responsiveness, motor sound) were similiar to what I noticed with the Mugen. I would have loved to dynoed my car pre and post mods to put some numbers to my "observations".
Your car looks great by the way!

mugen vs comptech....2 totally different monsters
Are they really worth the money spent on them?
or would a DC header suit just fine for the money?
