New (to me) '01 in Canton, OH
Greetings Ohioans,
I posted an introduction about myself and my cars here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=21&t=819300
However, I'm curious if there are frequent regional meet-ups or group installs or the like even with winter coming.
I really enjoyed learning about my late RX8 from the local group of people we had in Ohio, and I'm hoping the S2K community does similar events. If not, then is there any interest in starting this?
I purchased the S2K for two reasons. 1. To autocross in the new SCCA STR class, 2. To have a convertible because I've always wanted one. . . . So it was really only one reason - to have fun.
However, being a 9 year old car that I'm going to drive hard I'm hoping locals can share with me what TSBs or additional maintence needs to be done before I start racing? I heard that with the AP1s, oil starvation is a possible problem and would fry the engine. Basically, I'm just looking for an opportunity to sit down with some owners and pick their brains over a few beers or something.
Thanks all, glad to be a part of the community.
