New guy in Cincinnati
New guy here in Cincinnati. Well, hopefully. I am looking at getting an s2k here shortly. I currently own an 05 Mazda RX8 with some mods. I am getting tired of it and looking for something new at a reasonable price. I have found a few s2k's that I would like to have, but its just a matter of selling my RX8 to begin the process.
I live on the north side of Cincinnati by Tri-County mall. I use to live in Oakley/Hyde Park area..and I miss it.
I just wanted to introduce myself and see if I can meet with any of you guys. The Mazda community is pretty strong here in Cincy and on the national forum so, I think the s2k forum is the same way which is making my decision a lot easier.
What should I look out for when buying an s2k?
Thanks all!

06-up have DBW and a passive traction control
If the car is going to be a DD 12mths a year then 4 dedicated snow tires are a must
Don't waste money on expensive NA mods that add maybe 25HP and drain your wallet of $$$....big hp costs big $$$
If you get an AP2, 04-up, the Bridgestone RE-11's are the best tire out there
Don't skimp on good tires
Oh.........and has the best damn service dept east of the Mississippi

Welcome and enjoy the search!
My $.02, get an 04 or 05 and swap out the ECU with an 01. That was the best bang for the buck mod you could do to an S2000. Had it done to mine and it made the car more raw and powerful compared to it's stock ECU. There is at least one other in this community that has done this and may chime in to give impressions.
