Need a volunteer to organize the AF car show
For the past five years we have raised money for the Arthritis Foundation and also brought 15-20 cars to their annual show in Dublin, OH.
I have actively worked with the Foundation and the auto show organizing committee through this time and Ray has delivered thousands of dollars in sponship--all of which assists the foundation. Plus Honda Marysville has generously supported us and the Foundation with cash and product donations.
This year I can not commit to organizing the S2000/NSX class for the show. I am asking for someone who lives in Central Ohio to take ownership of this great event. Our participation for 2010 has been requested, but it will not happen without support from you, the members.
This is not hard work. What you will be asked to do is:
Attend auto show committee meetings which are once a month, from 3-4:30pm.
Provide direction to the club(s) on show information through this forum and others.
Seek out class sponsorship--this pays for our trophies, but 90% goes to the AF.
Assist with show setup. logistics, etc. during the week of the show.
Organize a post-show party.
I will provide some transitional support to get you up to speed. The show committee is made up of car people from every car club in the area. Its a good group and great networking opportunity.
Please post here or send me a PM if you are willing to take ownership.

It would be a shame to not have this on the s2000 event calender. I've always had a great time here (even when standing around in a trailer with a dozen others, watching it pour). Thanks for all your hard work on this Scott.

I will be telling the show committee that S2000/NSX will not be participating in the show in 2010.

Sorry I am not closer to help out. Those are big shoes to fill.
