My Summer Vacation - Bertil Roos FF2000
I'm going to Virginia International Raceway June 23-25 for a 1/2 day with the Bertil Roos Racing School. Not a bad deal for $500 (xmas gift from my wife):
1 hour classroom
1 hour with instructors in the school Volvos
3 20 minute sessions in the FF2000s.
No rev limits
Passing is allowed in all sessions
No liability if you wreck the car - not that I'm planning on that!
I'll post pics when I get back next week.
It's been 30 years since I've driven a single seater, so I'll see if my a$$ can still fit in that little seat!

See pix in original post! Great fun! The cars handle great, but I'll take the S2k engine over the FF2000 engine any day.
VIR makes Mid-Ohio's hills look tame! We used a 1.6 mile 11 turn section of the 3.2 mile track. The section we were on had 150 ft of elevation change with several blind turn-ins and braking zones. Several turns had tricky off-camber exits that wanted to suck the car off the road. Most of the corners were 2nd gear, so average speed was only about 70 MPH. This would be a great place to drive an S2k!
I got in car video of session 1. About 30 minutes in a car spins across my path off the exit curbs on a 180! Need to figure out how to do video capture and e-mail him the file. I'll bring it to the decal party tomorrow.
Let's see....where can I get $750 an hour it would cost to keep this fix going? Oh yeah....There were some guys in IMSA that used to sell drugs to support their racing addictions - Don and Bill Whittington I think!
