I think the engine has to be running for the window reset to work. Note that the window switch will stop functioning for 20 seconds or so after the reset, so don't panic. After the reset, mine worked until the car was shut off. However, since then, it has been *worse*. Before the reset, the window would go down about halfway, now it only goes down an inch or two. I have seen similar posts from other people who have tried the reset. I just live with it, as do most other people whose cars are out of warranty.

Sweet spending $500.00 is not what I wanted to hear. I need that $500.00 to keep my 88 Jetta beater running LOL.
