Thanks, my first thought was painting them or getting them powder-coated but I honestly think this looks much better... and for only the cost of some sandpaper and Mother's Aluminum Polish. I was amazed that you could get so much bang for so little buck lol
I definately agree, my wheels are in definate need of a polish and shine. Was 2000 grit paper the only grade of sandpaper used?

I used 120 grit to get out the pitting. It's pretty tough to get it out and don't used a ton of pressure because it will be hard to get the scratches you caused out. I think the best way to get out the pitting is to have a 3M blueish/green drill attachment because it's relatively soft and it gets the job done. After I got it out I used a 300 grit sponge and wetsanded, then 400 wet/dry sandpaper, then 1500 wet/dry sandpaper, then 2000 wet/dry (all wetsand), then polished.

I would've done something between 400 and 1500 but couldn't find any in between.

Update: My projects are completely finished except for the intake and "MAP Whack". The car is ready to be driven once the road clears up. I'm using wax on the wheels as a clear coat for now because they won't be on the car for long because I just got a super good deal on some RPF1's; so I'll be rockin' those whenever I buy new rear tires for them.
