This pisses me off to no end! Looks like I'm going to be doing some writing to my state reps and voting against anyone who has voted for this or plans to support it.

Thanks for doing a little digging....I hope your right and this is just a joke..."April fools". But even if it is Congress is seriously considering legislation to mandate "black box's" (Due to Toyota) in all cars that could be potentially as damaging. Hopefully this doesn't come to fruition.

Wow, I have a big issue with this. GPS in every car for the proposed purpose (traffic offenses) is an AWFUL idea.

(I've less of an issue with health care reform.....I think everyone should be required to have insurance, and the insurance companies are abusive enough to both my patients and to us docs that the insurance reform was DEFINITELY necessary.....but that's for another thread/forum).

Think about this? The government can't even keep track of illegal immigration. How could they manage this type of work effectively?????
This would be a monumental task to keep an eye on everyone who has a new car with GPS. Come On!

It's not legit. See my previous post for info on why the original article is bullshit. It's not even a real CNN article. But it was done up decently enough to fool most people who only glanced at it.
