Default Looking at the Future

I've been wanting to do this since my 03 went back and almost started compling parts when I got the 08 instead

With the S2000 production dead as of June of this year and with nothing coming down the assembly line to lust for other than an F458 Italia

I've been thinking about building a street rod

Not the typical 350 Chev powered one ,but one with an S2000 drive train

Here's some pics I found ;other than the color what does everyone think ?

I was thinking white with red scalups and red interior and red wheels with wide white wall tires ........very old school

...........btw my lease is up next Fall

Power to weight ratio of an Elise

Besides the V8 street rod is already played to death and if done right would make all the magazines Hot Rod to Honda Tuning

i think its a great concept! i like to see people step out of the box and build things really unique, as long as they are'nt so unique they look gay!

I am partial to the Indy/sprint car nose instead of the usual 30s Ford nose. I wonder how it would look with tight fitting cycle fenders on the front?

Just buy one already done and save half the money. Why waste the money on a 4 banger that no hotrodder will care about. I would build something with the viper drivetrain in it. All motor baby!

Just get a CR-Z, install a turbo, and chop the roof off. That would rock!

Interesting concept for sure... if you do undertake this project, keep us posted... (and have someone take some good photographs of the progress...).

For the price of the S2K you might as well buy it turn key and be done. I wouldn't touch the XK120 kit with pos jeep motor in it.
