Yea, that is for the "dealer installed" alarm system, which the original fob would have an "option" button instead of a trunk button.
Those seem to be a lot easier to find, i would bet you're not the first or last of us to make that mistake.haha

Try this one. Confirmed to work on my '06 (by part number) and my buddy's '02 (last night). 15 step programming required. Probably cheaper elsewhere but this one works if your car is OK.

Thanks Chuck!
This is the correct one for me. Now I just have to figure out the key portion...I think i can buy a transponder key on Amazon for 5 bucks and get it programmed at my dealership.

Not sure where in Ohio you are located. I needed a new key for my 05 S2000 and I called Park Honda in Akron. I purchased a blank key from them for around $35 they cut it and programmed it for free. Check around at other dealers, prices and service are all over the board on this service.

I have found a solution!
For the keys at least.I ordered 2 keys from amazon ( they are T5 for my 2000 S2000). My local True Value has a transponder programmer, I took the key to them, they cut it and programmed the chip and bam! working key.
And this was 12 for 2 keys, and 5 to program each key.
WAY better than the 100 that Honda wanted me to pay for 1 key.

Lowes has keys as well. I think it was $29 out the door last time I was there, and 5% off with Lowes card. Make sure it's the 27R-T5 however.
