Ok! I'll try, but I really don't like building the 2 doors - although it will be a Tues., so you might have better luck than if it were Mon. or Fri.!!!
Sign the inside of the driver door for him!

I had a chance to walk around a Crosstour today. The grill is still too ugly, but its got nice hips and rump.

Got a build date of 12/15 for the Accord - so i expect Becky to be on her best behavior and not tie any nuts inside the door panels or put marbles into the rocker panels
You know, it looks good in person. Don't tell anyone I said that!

Conceived around a small “footprint” for maximum convenience in tight urban settings, the packaging concept integrates a center driving position configuration and a rear powertrain layout. The exterior styling leverages crisp angles with dynamic flowing lines that originate from the front of the vehicle and span outward toward the rear. The end result is a sleek and aggressive exterior that also allows for a spacious and open interior with excellent visibility.

“A new generation is discovering the benefits of living in urban centers that provide convenient access to business, entertainment and social opportunities,” said Dave Marek, director of advanced design for Honda R&D Americas, Inc. “The Personal-Neo Urban Transport concept explores the packaging and design potential for a vehicle conceived exclusively around the city lifestyle.”

The exterior styling is intended to capture a future direction for premium sophistication while balancing the need for maximum interior space and an aerodynamic appearance. The interior layout, in conjunction with the rear powertrain design, contributes prominently to the exterior’s overall shape.

The layout of the interior space, with its center driving position flanked by two rear seats, provides generous legroom for all occupants, roughly the equivalent of a mid-sized sedan in a vehicle that has an exterior footprint similar to a micro car.

Interior functionality is increased by rear seating areas that fold up and out of the way to increase storage capacity. The windshield serves as a heads-up display for the navigation system and the back-up camera.

The modular rear engine bay, depicted on the exterior by blue composite material, is designed to accommodate a wide variety of potential propulsion technologies including a conventional small displacement internal combustion engine, a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain, or a battery-electric powertrain.

“The objective of the exterior and interior designers was to explore the potential for a new type of small-segment-category vehicle that overcomes many of the objections for existing micro-car designs,” said Marek. “While the Honda P-NUT concept introduces function-oriented concepts, it also shows that small cars don’t have to compromise on style or amenities.”

Acura's "Smart Luxury" future is confirmed, and so is a sub-TSX model

Acura's rumored adoption of the "Smart Luxury" tagline (and migration away from the previous "Tier 1" target), has in fact been communicated to the dealer body.

a new entry-luxury model

an "amazing flagship" model

a line of hybrid vehicles done "the Acura way".

NO rear-wheel-drive or V8-powered vehicles

The key drivers for this change in course are said to include the global economic crisis and upcoming 2016 federal mandates which dictate a fleet average of more than 37mpg for Honda and Acura combined. This figure represents an increase of more than 10mpg over where they currently stand.

Acura has also promised that the future model lineup will feature more differentiation (in terms of size) between models, though the pipeline's rate of introductions may slow down a bit. Acura has previously stated that the lineup would offer an MMC or FMC every 6 months for the next several years, but now they are saying an MMC or FMC "every year".

Honda’s East Liberty Auto Plant Marks 20 Years of Automotive Innovation

EAST LIBERTY, OHIO - From its innovative fan-shaped parking lot to a welcome center and skywalk entrance into the production areas, the East Liberty Auto Plant set new standards when it started producing Civic Sedans on Dec. 18, 1989.

Community leaders came to the plant today to recognize 20 years of auto production at the East Liberty Auto Plant, including representatives from the Logan County Board of Commissioners, City of Bellefontaine, Logan County Chamber of Commerce, Logan County Improvement Corporation. They also got a close look at the Honda Accord Crosstour that went into production at the plant last month.

“On behalf of all of our associates at ELP, thank you for coming here today and recognizing our plant for 20 years of auto production,” said Plant Manager John Pleiman. “At Honda, we value the close partnerships with each of you over the years, and your support is a big reason why this plant has achieved many great things over the years.”

“In addition to celebrating this milestone and launching a great new product,” Pleiman added, “the associates at this plant were recognized this year for having the best quality of any plant in North America.”

From its beginning, the East Liberty plant cashed in on its unique design when production of the Honda Civic started 20 years ago. The skywalk entrance provided additional room for loading docks around the plant to minimize travel distance for parts to production areas, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) continue to deliver parts to the assembly line
