New Albany Home Targeted for Sex
New Albany, Ohio -- New Albany police say homosexual men are being promised sex by coming to an upscale home in a New Albany neighborhood.
So far, at least six men came to the house on separate occasions in the last several months, police said.
Officers say they arrested one of the men, charging him with driving under a suspended license. Police say the man told them a person in an online chat room gave him the address for the home -- but, the house number doesn't actually exist.
Police say the man knocked on doors and approached people on bike paths, trying to make good on the offer.
Investigators told ABC6 News they're as baffled as the families living in the New Albany neighborhood. They say they suspect a person in a public chat room on Yahoo may be the culprit and they've obtained subpoena information from Yahoo to resolve the matter.
Police told ABC6 News that if apprehended, the person causing this might not face charges because there's a chance he or she isn't breaking the law. Officers say they're more concerned with returning peace to the neighborhood.
