Sorry, but Sony sucks. They consistently get bad reviews from true photogs. I had two Sonys, both sucked. Never again.

Well,since I am not a "true photog", I guess I will follow the great reiews I have been reading about Sony from the normal people.

Sony, from what i understand, makes the processor that runs the nikons... (overheard that at Dodd Camera today at lunch).... the Nikon lens is definitely superior to the Sony..

when you are bestbuy, check out also the Canon SD line... SD550 and up are all REALLY good..
don't just count on the megapixels.. unless you are printing off some 8x10 pictures or something, you aren't going to really need anything much higher than 5mp. Just my $.02.

Thanks. I am looking at SLR Cameras. Might just buy something cheap to carry around.

We both like the Rebel XT. Found good reviews on it.

Ray,

I've been looking at digital SLR camera as well. Friend of mine is into digial photography and he has Nikon. Forgot the model name. Canon Digital Rebel is also good I heard.
