My only piece of advice is to stick with Canon or Nikon. I have the Canon G2 for my large camera and the Elph Sd410 as my pocket camera. The little elph is damn near as good as the g2 with picture quality.

has anyone seen or tested some of the new panasonics with the leica lenses? i've heard some good thiings about them, but i was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with them.

having said that, i agree with rich.. canon or nikon is the best route to go

I am torn because I want a pocket size to keep with me but I have always wanted a camera like the Nikon and Canon. What about the Sony? That thing is small but it's $500 and the MP are like 8?

I have a sony dsc w5 and like it, Its a 5.1mp camera. It has the carl ziess lens and some manual features like shutter speed like you would find on a DSLR.

heres a good pic I took with it.

T9 is out already
i wanted to get this camera but it got horrendous reviews... it's ultra slim, but the picture quality was just so-so..my old T5, imho, took better pictures.

mark....i've heard a lot of good about your camera...

nice pics

ray... another option might be the nikon coolpix line.. sorta in between .. not full dslr, but takes some really good pics...
