Default Had my first 1st to 2nd grind in 2 years

It has been 2 years since my last grind. Time to change the trans fluid again.

How is everyone else doing with 1st to 2nd grinds now that the weather is heating up?

Mine really doesn't grind into 2nd so much as seems to just "catch" a little going in on the first 1/2 shift. First couple when colder.

This spring, when the '05 is cold (40-50 degrees), 1st - 2nd - 3rd shifts really want the rpms to match perfectly. No grinding or anything, just wants to be shifted gently, and doesn't like being pushed fast. After the tranny fluid is warmed up, the tranny feels fine. Does honda use a special sythethic in the tranny, or do they just use standard motor oil from the factory? Anyone have experience with Red Line or any other synthentic?

Hey dave, that pedal on the left side, push it when you shift.

Isn't that what activates the milk and cookies dispenser?

I've used Redline MTL now since 5K with no grind issues.Made another fluids change @ 15K.

Still smooth and silky;there was some notchiness issues with the factory fill but they have disappered
