Alright all this Element SC talk makes me want one. I am enjoying S2000 right but I know I would want one of this car in the bad weather and Winter.
I couldn't find any lease options on this car. Have you inquired about it?

I told them I would pay $1,500 under invoice ONLY if I could also get the special financing.

Didn't consider or ask about leasing - we drive to much and prefer the freedom of outright ownership...

Honda Marysville?
Yes.

This is the 3rd car we've bought from the same salesman (he used to be at Immke), so he knew we were serious. I told him I could get it for that price in Cleveland or eastern PA and that I didn't mind driving there for such a deal, but that I'd prefer to work with him and Marysville and wanted to give them the opportunity to match it. And they did. If you'd like his name, let me know - he's a very easygoing non-pushy type and pleasant to work with...

there will be NO manuals for any Element in 2009. Basically, what's out there is all there is ever going to be...
I talked to a dealer friend, because I'm potentially interested with the 6th gear conversion. He told me they don't know what's going on with the 2009. Judging from the fact that no solid info is out on the features of any 2009 Honda not yet released, I'm calling BS, and seeing dealers just trying to get rid of inventory.

Either way, that's a sweet deal for a nice car. Congrats!!!

^^That's certainly a very real possibility, but I heard it from 3 dealers, each of whom knew I was only going to buy a manual and 2 of whom couldn't deliver. They each said that they were able to begin placing orders on the 2009 allocation, and that, at least so far, a manual was not an option.

The national Element owners meeting is in Marysville in a few weekends from now. I may pop in and try to hook up with someone with a 6-speed conversion and experience it for myself.

Lew loves the SC and after driving ours, really wants one of his own. I told him he could borrow it anytime if I could take his race car, but he wasn't convinced...
