Good Places to Eat in Cleveland?
Hi
I will be at the Intercontinental hotel at the cleveland clinc from July 27th thru Aug 6 or so.
My wife and I are looking for some good places to chow down before my surgery on the 1st. We like everything.
Anybody have any suggestions or want to do lunch or dinner let me know.
Thanks

Intercontinental has a great restaurant in it, Table 45. At that location, you are a stone's throw from Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood, which has everything from coffee & snacks (Corbo's) to pizza (Mama Santas) to causual (Lounge Leo) to upscale (Baricelli Inn). Great neighborhood, very walkable, very lively. Going in the other direction toward downtown, there are also several good choices. The warehouse district is a great destination, can't go wrong with Chophouse, Blue Point or Johnny's Downtown (very good but $$). Another emerging area is E 4th, my favs here are Lola (Iron Chef Michael Simone's place), Zocalo, Vivo and the House of Blues. Further west, Jonas's suggestion is a great one, Great Lakes has very good food and even better beer. Also, right across the street is another one of my favs, Flying Fig. All of these areas are a short cab ride away. Let us know if we can be of any assistance while you are here.
Here are some links, also including University Circle, where the clinic is, also the cultural center of Cleveland.

Table 45 is $$$$$ but really good.
I 2nd The Great Lakes Brewery in downtown. Reasonably priced, great location in the Warehouse District, good food.
House of Blues, while a chain place, is really good.
Hard Rock Cafe, while some think it's cliche, has pretty decent food and is in Tower City, our downtown mall. Movie theater there as well if you're up for a movie.
In Shaker Square is Fire--awesome place....just a quick cab ride up Stokes Blvd from CCF.
