Front License Plate Hole/Plug Question
Tonight i removed the front license plate and installed the 2 plugs to cover the holes. Well, I got the right side, but the left hole has no threads. When I put the plug in, the holes were too big and the plug didn't fit.
Question:
1) Are the part numbers for the right side and left side different?
2) Do you have threads in the left hole? Mine has no threads, but the right hole does.
I know I'm incompetent, but not being to do a license plate removal mod...*DOH*

You have a license plate nut which is welded to a small bracket behind the bumper cover and it is held onto the bumper by a couple small tabs. If these tabs break off the nut will fall down into the bumper which is what it sounds like happened. The only way to fix this is to pull the bumper cover off and make the repairs.

doh.
yeah...i did the quickie fix... electrical tape around the plugs, and wedged it in.. it'll work until i get the thread. I've taken my accord and civic bumper off 8kazillion times, but not yet with the S. Oh well..i guess there will be one weekend where I can do that...
