FREE mid-speed Track Event/HPDE Sat Oct, 24th!
When the track day got cancelled, I told all of you that this might be coming...so here it is:
Bluegrass Motorsports Park is going to allow S2KCincinnati to host a FREE mid-speed event on the track. (Think of it as about the same speed as driving on a twisty public road)
Where: Bluegrass Motorsports Park (Sparta, KY)
Who: ANYONE...NO EXPERIENCE OR TRACK GEAR REQUIRED
When: Sat, Oct 24th 11:00am - 4:00pm
Why?: There are 2 reasons BMP and S2KCincinnati are doing this...first is to get people excited about this brand new venue coming to Cincinnati. Second is to get people excited about the track days we will be doing in the future.
This event is a RARE opportunity to get out on a track and do some laps at a safe speed without worrying about getting run over by fast drivers in dedicated race cars.
I (and other instructors) will be doing some basic education/classroom sessions about how to be an effective and safe driver on a track. If you have always wanted to see what a track felt like but just aren't ready for a full-speed event (or want to baby your car)...THIS IS YOUR EVENT!!!
Map to the venue: http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&q=blue...03&z=13&iwloc=A
The entrance to BMP is still dirt/gravel...so drive slowly and carefully so you don't get dirty.
PLEASE BRING $5 TO PAY FOR LUNCH (dogs/chips/drinks).

Seriously, this is a great opportunity for those on the fence about tracking their S. I hope more people take advantage.
