One of the cool things about the Ohio group is that its members aren't just S2000 or Honda enthusiasts, but real car enthusiast who can appreciate cool cars regardless of the make. Come out to a Sunday morning breakfast sometime and talk cars with them. You'll be surprised by the diversity of cars that they drive.
I think that the main thing holding back American car manufacturers are the legacy costs they face from union retirees. I have no doubt that they can engineer and build world class car, but they can't do it while turning a profit.

I wonder how many other manufacturers use Texas Instruments' CCDS ?
This may not be just a Ford issue
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said this was the eighth recall, involving a total of 16 million Ford Motor (F, Fortune 500) vehicles, concerning the cruise control deactivation switch manufactured by Texas Instruments (TXN, Fortune 500).

Or better yet maybe a Toyota that have a floor mat that gets stuck under your gas peddal.
...btw, the BMW that did it to me was a 2008 335i, had to get rid of the mat, but the car still rocked
