Default E36 M3

Ok, a friend of mine just picked up 96 M3 coupe. It does have Conforti chip, M50 manifold and intake. Ran him on 71 and got dusted pretty bad around my 4th gear.

How fast are these cars with mods mentioned above? Does anyone know?

BTW, drove the car afterwards and I was very impressed with the car and way it handled. Previous owner had deleted traction control. It's got Koni and Eibach set up.

Hmmmm.....

Doesn't surprise me. They can put down 210-245 rwhp depending on mods

Well, yeah according to what I've been reading, the mods he has on his M3 nets about 270hp at the crank with similar torque figure.

I smell a project car....I always had a soft spot for Estoril blue E36 M3 coupes.

Rich, do you know of anyone who is into modding this car?

BMWs start to show their age from year 3+. I was seriously considering a convertible E36 before I bought the S. The maintenance and upkeep on them gets to be a pain--just like an Audi.

I've had a jewel 95 E36M3 for the past 5 years (extensive mods & track gear). The S2000 kind of ruined the M3 for me at the track. Sold the M3, bought a Z06.

Let me know what your E36M3 questions are.
