Makes sense Tim. I just know how hard it is to get 18 WHP/ NA from an S2000. I know your last car had a bunch of NA mods on it. Did it ever get 18HP? I can't remember. I know your car Dyno was pretty impressive.
the dyno was decent, but I didn't have a baseline to work with...ended up at 209rwhp in some nasty VA humidity....either way, 18 is ALOT for this car and isn't going to be had by allowing the airbox to soak in hot air, you had one, you know what i'm talking about....w/ your old set up you were probably getting an additional 5-7 w/ a good intake and an exhaust, i probably got around 15 max w/ all that crap.

Even with the Comptech Icebox, that thing would almost stall at stop lights in the hot summer. Especially running the AC. Good grief.

Call me retarded, but I only see 10 hp on the graph. Also, your power numbers seem rather low considering you do not have the rotational mass of the rear wheels. The side of the graph says "flywheel" hp, so if there is some efficiency conversion used by the dyno, your car is hurting. Really hurting.

Oh, here is a thread where bone stock AP1 is at 205 hp. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry5858154

I personally rock the airbox off sometimes because I like to hear it. I don't know here or there what happens as far as power, it mostly depends on what the conditions are. Besides, I bought the car to go right and left. If I wanted to go straight, I would have a second Mustang. Most people are better off spending their hard earned money on learning how to drive before benchtop racing over 2 hp here or 3 hp there.

Sure, when we went on that drive to the winery, the temp was 98 and we had the tops up and AC on. The car would just bog rolling out of stop signs .

all havent come into ohio in a while but thought i would pop by for this one.
last year 4/22/06 to be exact when i went to the dyno with bigbird we thought for the last run we would take the lid off my comptech cai to see if it would make a difference and put the fan up to the front of it....my runs went as followed along with conditions on a dynojet (for those who dont know at the time i only had comptech exhaust and intake):
Conditions:
62 deg. 63% humidity, it was pouring outside that day it sucked!
sae correction (same as above dyno)
run 1- hp 199.54 tq 135.93
run 2 - hp 202.58 tq 137.67
run 3 - hp 201.49 tq 138.40
run 4 - hp 203.59 tq 138.97

As you can see it made a whole 1hp diff thats it (compared to run #2). there is no way that your gonna get 18hp diff, unless you just had a way better/freak run the second time around.

anyway i cant wait to get back to the dyno cause i have my header on and on tuesday i jsut got my new test pipe installed so i am intriged to see if i got anything, ya know maybe a whole 3 hp gain
