Default Corvette Blue Devil Spy Photos

With the latest supercar horsepower tango pouring out of Europe, GM can't stand to see the already potent 500hp Corvette Z06 gazed down upon as a second rate supercar. Instead GM is developing an alleged supercharged 600hp Z06 with carbon fiber components dubbed the "Blue Devil" as reported by Autoweek in a recent interview with General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz. With a curb weight hovering around 2900 lbs. and a price tag starting at $100,000 the European competition should be breaking into a cold sweat as the Blue Devil seen here making laps around Germany's Nurb

If my grandmother had wheels she would be a wagon. Plus $100k for a Chevy? Is "America's Sportscar" trying to keep up with the Europeans? Isn't GM losing money left and right? How about a decent sports sedan with an OHC motor, manual tranny and rear-drive? The C6R dominates sportscar racing here and at LeMans. WTF are they trying to prove?

I guess it is my business sense that is most curious. If this was a tuner like Lingenfelter, I would understand. But for a company that can not get the basics right, why plow funds into this? The C6 is a success, the ZO6 is a real statement, why does GM need to make another one, while their sales are off over 50% this month? MG Rover thought like this. British Leyland thought like this. Where are they today?

If GM build a good looking sports sedan with an OHC motor, rear drive and a manual tranny, I would consider it.

Is it it posible this is just a z06 being tested in Germany? I think it is BS. Besides, I already own the Blue Devil.
