I'll beat him with my 9 bar boost civic.
Ray, take your skirt off and go get the tires they were supposed to put on your car.

On a related note to your initial thread posting, I just had some tires balanced on new wheels purchased from Discount Tire off Sawmill Road. After putting on the wheels and tires last night over at Scott_Evil's place, I took 270 home. Once I reached 60-70 mph, I was shakin like a martini. I plan to call Discount today and get this resolved. After hearing your situation, they'll probably ask me to bring my own balance weights. We'll see.
Let us know how your situation goes, Ray.

I got to hand it to the Discount Tire guys on Sawmill Rd; they went above and beyond for me.
To start, they let me come in after normal business hours to rebalance the wheels since I was heading to a track event the next day. Well, once they looked at my setup they noticed the spacers I had on the wheels were not hubcentric to the wheel, which turned out to be the cause of the vibration. They could not work on the car due to their policy for spacer use, but they did *give* me hub rings that fit my spacers and said it should take care of the problem. Once I got home, I was ready to get to work on the car when I got a phone call. It was now 8:00 pm (2 hours after closing) and the regional VP was on the phone telling me they found an alternative wheel for my application that would not require spacers. He asked if I had the time to come back in and try it out. I was blown away by the call and went back in. As it turned out, the wheel did not fit (it was real close, though). However, the fact they stayed so late and continued to work on my problem after I left was impressive.
Charlie, the manager, said he would continue checking on wheel alternatives for me and get back.
I later installed the hub rings and sure enough, it cured the vibration problem.
Ray, you may want to go check them out on Sawmill. They really did their best to take care of the problem.

Spoke with Gary at Discount Tire in Lewis Center. The tires are still on back order. He said they will just swap the tires out at no charge. He said his guy tha wrote up the paperwork last time I was in was just trying to recover the freight cost. This is a load of poop because he was also charging me $40 a tire for the new S-02s. I am sure it is their policy, which is why I went to their web site. They should be calling me soon. I think the S-02s were back ordered 3 weeks. Looks like in the future, Sawmill will be my store of choice.
