this weekend is supposed to warm up ...... will be nice to actually wash and clean the car before heading down... still need to do a few more things before Wednesday....



with my dad back home for a little while, I'm not going to have much time to get ready....

Funny story...

My dad is actually the one that got me into an S2000. The '01 NFR that we had originally was his..then I took it and started making the payments...his high school classmate works for Honda and told him to ditch the Bimmer and get a pure sports car... so he did.. and loved it..but it almost never happened..

My mom told him that there would be no manual transmission cars anymore since he was travelling so much... So.... my dad told the dealer that he'd buy the car only if he told my mom it was automatic...

Once the car got home, my dad goes.. "Ooops... I think they must have given us the wrong car.....".... my mom was pisssssssed.....



So..needless to say, had my dad never pulled that move... 10 years ago, I would never have fallen in love with the car.


Anyway, on that note, there was another earthquake an hour ago in Japan... fortunately, this time my dad is in the air heading stateside.



Unfortunately, he is only in town till Thursday. Then he is heading back to help with the relief efforts and to help rebuild his lab.

It would have been fun to take my dad with me..although he would probably never let me drive and drink all my booze Steve would like him... growing up, I'd visit the bars that my dad would frequent after work.. once they knew who I was... there was no option for drinks...it was Guiness or Guiness... I asked for a Bud Light one time and the bartender told me that my dad would disown me if he ever heard those words come out of my mouth..


On a side note, I did find out that my dad did leave Japan early enough (this time), and he's safe in Washington DC for a few days for work
