If I had kids, I would get a real un and plant it in the backyard afterward. At my Dad's house there are three former Christmas tress that are 30-40 feet tall now.

Embarrassed to say that we went with a fake one starting last year. I was always a real tree guy and even planted a few balled trees but none lived more than a couple of years and some, not even a year. Damn lot of money for dead trees.
