Because we're on holiday and there is no schedule until Saturday morning

In fact we're ahead on time so tomorrow is a day trip to Grand canyon and maybe Hoover dam

Have a great time at the Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam, both are stunning in their own right.

It funny somehow I'm talking to the desk clerk about how bad of a winter we had in Ohio and he then tells me of the 106 in of snow they had in 2 days last Feb up on the mountain

Ok Arizona wins

Also, if you are looking for a good drive, take 89A south into Sedona. It runs along Oak Creek (if my memory serves me). Neat place, and lots of good places to eat.

If you are in Sedona, drive up to the airport (airport road). The airport is high up on a mesa and provides spectacular views across the city and surrounding area. Especially fantastic at dusk. There is a motel up there (Sky Ranch Lodge, sounds seedy but rooms are very nice) where you can park and walk around for the views.
