Oh Yeah, lots of horse power, but truly, what good is it. We don't have the roads like they have in Germany, the good ole Autobahn, unless you go to the Salt Flats and try for a land speed record. I owned an LS6 Chevelle SS in my early years and couldn't get it to hook up, with anything less than slicks and it was never truly ran on a dyno, but was figured to be grounding nearly 450 hp., which was a total crock, it was well over that. Anyway, it's good to have it and nice to brag about, but when you can't truly enjoy it on a normal basis, why have it!

If you can find tires to hook-up those extreme ponies. Horsepower is great, if you can hook it up to the pavement. If you can only truly realize it's full potential on a dyno, with the vehicle strapped down, it just seems like a big waste of cash, unless you have it to burn. These street cars are not built for the drag blasts, there built for bragging rights.

Wow, I'm not saying there aren't plenty of high horsepower cars on the street, I know people build them and friends of mine who have them. My era was prior too and within the Pro Street time, when blowers stuck through the hoods and we ran street drag races every Friday and Saturday night in Pennsylvania and Maryland. I just believe 1000 hp cars are useless for street use and most of all, as daily drivers. I've had and ran Cam 2 gasoline for high horsepower cars, I know what it's like.
