Default autocross at osu on June 9th

same parking lot just northwest of the schottenstein center, i think there is a concert that evening so it will be an early start and finishing by 2 pm. Even if some s2000's don't run it would be fun to have a contingent there. go to www.ovr-scca.org for more info.

I will make the attempt to get there. Do you think we will get all of our runs in? I believe this a Cen div event and if so, It will be packed with the regulars and some the heavy hitters from farther away like Cincinnati since they lost there lot to run on.

i talked to one of the kids at Passen last week and he thought everyone probably wouldn't get all their runs in, they are planning on starting early I thought like at 8 am or something, i have never actually done it but have been to a few driving schools, i think i'll give it a try.

If you can only get say 2 runs in, its a wast of 25 bucks. I believe they try to do six.

If we have to be done by 2:00, I doubt we will get in four runs. First car usually goes off at 10.00. It is twenty for Scca members. Good thing I didn't spend $85 bucks this year on SCCA. Every event has either been wet and one I could not attend that was dry. Rain may be a great equalizer, but it just plain sucks to hang out in the rain and watch your fun and money go down the sewer. In Northeast Ohio, if it rained hard enough or there was lightning, the event would be canceled and rescedualled. Here, they will stand around do whatever till the rain stops. Not my idea of fun. What we really need to do is see if can get to Mid ohio without having to put a full race cage in. Also, Nelson ledges has open days, but the last time I was there the surface was so bad that you need to tape the whole car. Once, they were patching while we were running. PM with your phone number and lets talk.

Okay, so you guys have helmet's already? I am interested in this, but don't have one yet and am not sure what size to buy so any clues as to where in Central Ohio I can buy one? And any recommendations on brand/model?

Thanks in advance...

i bought a bell from a place in hilliard called truchoice motorsports, 876-3483, i think i got a decent price but it was an sa95, you will want the sa2000 of course. their number is 876 3483, there are cheaper places on line but you may want to try something on first, jegs also carries simpson, ithink. www.racerwholesale.com had cheap prices.

i thought one of the site sponsors sold bieffre(sp?) helmets, which are supposed to be very nice for the money. At one point several months ago they were doing a good group buy price. might want to search some threads, again though, the only think i would be concerned about would be fitment issues, unless they are very good at sizing from head dimensions. Be aware though, that a proper fit is a little snug. if you want to try mine on we can lysol it and give it a shot.
