Andy a lot of work has gone into this so that you can show your car, regardless of condition. This is about the club and doing something that furthers its focus and membership, while providing a benefit to a local charity. There are a lot of people who wish they had a car like yours to show off. You have it and it is your choice to leave it at home in the garage while you hoopty around in your Volvo. I asked people to participate so our carve-out at the show is well represented. That is all that I am asking. There is nothing wrong with a showing a car that is driven.

A couple years ago I drove the Freshwater tour and met a couple who were rebuilding an S2000. None of the body panels matched and were being sourced from junk yards. Think of a Harlequin VW and you get the picture. The car had clearly been wrecked and rolled, but the powertrain was still solid. This guy had more attention around his car than anyone else. The story about it was repeated all weekend. This is the kind of stuff that car people do. So, are you a car person, or a tourist? You decide.
