I've been looking for a nice kart place around Cleveland but haven't found any. I think this would make a great all-Ohio event. We can all drive as crazy as we want (within reason).

Can somebody look into group rates/food availability, etc... I would think we should be able to get 15-20 participants without too much trouble.

We need another event scheduled on our calendar anyway.

Myrtle Beach baby. Indoor tracks. Oval and road course. Electric F1 cars. Fast as heck. I posted last year about them. You CANNOT beat these cars for excitement. Short of a 12 hour drive....Columbus sounds great to me.

I didn't see a track map on the website, so I scanned this hand-drawn map I picked up the other day:

This scanner at work sucks, so it cut off some of the words around the outside, but the map survived mostly intact.

I'd scan my time sheet, but, well, it's embarrassing!

How do they insure that ALL the carts get 9hp? This is one of the claims to fame of the indoor F1 place. Thay are all computer controlled electric and they even adjust the "juice" for your weight so that everyone has the same car. Makes racing more fun obviously. You know how regular go-karts are. If you end up with a dog, there's nothing you can do except run in the back all day. Here's the web site http://www.afterburnersracing.com/

Ah, but that gives those of us running in the back good excuses!

I'm not sure what kind of upkeep they do on those things, but I don't think there is any way they could possibly keep them all perfectly matched up. And I don't believe they do anything to adjust for your weight, although they do ask your weight when they sign you up. What were they using that for?
