Me and my buddy are planning on following the DIY thread on TCT repair sometime this summer because it doesn't seem too difficult or too costly. Since it's a potentially risky process (IMO), I wanted to get some advise (or even help) from someone with more experience. Anything would help.

Do it on a cool motor and take your time. If you are using the DIY I did years ago I did it with CAI so if you are stock, you will need to take out the air box.

That's good because I have a CAI and there seems to be plenty of room. Is it difficult getting it the TCT back in? On the DIY it says to thread the 5mm bolt 90% to get the piston where it should be.

That is only if you reuse/repair the old one. If you use a new one, just install it and pull the pin. Here is my old DIY.

What would you suggest? I was just thinking to repair it since they seem to go bad pretty quick... and it's cheaper lol
