Default Anyone going to auto-x locally?

Hey guys. I'd like to start auto crossing this year but I don't know anyone that does. If there are any other s2k owners that do let me know if I can tag along. Just so I can get some pointers for a newb.
Where are the even held in NE Ohio?

Here's the link with dates and site info (although which site will be used for which date is not posted yet):

Akron Sports Car Club

I've not run with them - I have enough trouble making as many Columbus events as I woudl like.

I just noticed that they have a driver's school scheduled early in the season. Do it if at all possible. You generally get about 3x to 10x more seat time at a school than at a regular event, and having an experienced driver sitting next to you to offer tips and suggestions is purely a bonus.

Thanks for this thread. I live not far from the Northfield track and had no idea that there was autox in my backyard. I'll have to keep this in mind this year, even if I just go to watch this year to get a feel for autox....

Here's another incredibly useful link:

S2ki Autocross setup link

On my AP1, I've been running V710s, Comptech adjustable front sway bar at full stiff, -1.5 front camber, zero front toe, -2 rear camber, 1/4" toe in. That makes for a very fast and relatively easily driveable setup. The car will either understeer or oversteer, depending on how I screw up. I've had amazing tread life with the 710s - they were still very competitive after 2 seasons, and I even won the class once on them in season 3 before they heat-cycled out. If you are on street tires, you won't need the sway bar, and I have no idea what tell you for an alignment.

This set-up also allows me to run "normal" 225/50-16s on the street and have very good balance.
