Default Any good car audio shops in Columbus?

Any recommendations for Columbus area auto radio shops? I'd like to upgrade my speakers and possibly the head unit (but still keep the audio controls functional on the dash).

I've been looking at the electronics forum messages but wanted to inquire about local dealers/installers.

The door speakers Take 10 minuits a door and the head is easy. You have to get a converter for the dash controls. This is not available in any store. You need a DCI unit from the marketplace and is about 80 bucks if I remember right. There are no Audio shops in Columbus besides Columbus Audio and thier pricing is out of site. Cicuit City is just as good as anything else as far as prices go, but I would not let em touch my car.

my friend got work done on his car at CCA (not s2000)... they did a good job with some custom work but they charged some crazy amount for the labor.

There is a shop on Huntley called Unlimited Audio. The owner drives an S2K. They gave me an estimate on my car and since I completely unknowledgable about the stuff, they saw me coming.

I checked out the owner's car though and the work looked top notch.

BTW, you should probably ignore the 24" spinner in their showroom too.

i think if it's doing oem/aftermarket speaker swaps, etc..it shouldn't be TOO hard... but any custom work might require someone knowledgable. of course, i can't say much...i'm the one who had joe (both of them) helping me out when i was doing a speaker swap

I was looking at new speakers, a sub (and enclosure), 2 amps, and labor. That priced out to about $1300.

For $200 I got the Lucid rear apeakers and panels and I am happier, but a sub would still be nice.

Like I said, I am not very knowledgeable about this stuff. One of the rear speakers in my Mustang died last year and I got around to putting in new ones this weekend. I took the old on to Best Buy and found one that was the same size. Not very scientific.
