I disagree. I ride on 18s and the ride is really not too bad, even on the craggy Cleveland streets. Of course, I kept my stock suspension height as I figure Honda got that right at the factory.

I've still got my 8-year-old S02s with 11k miles on my stock AP1 wheels as well. I ran with them for the first four months of ownership as it took that long for me to decide what I was going to do with wheels/tires. I didn't drive very fast, though....wouldn't do that again....
