2009 Indycar & Mid-Ohio Decal Program
2009 Decal Program - Indycar and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
It's year number two, and i have the official word from Indycar and Mid-Ohio - We are going to do the decal program this year, in conjunction with the IRL and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the race weekend of August 7-9.
I expect this to be even better this year, since I know what Indycar and Mid-Ohio expects out of us, and if "isolated downpours" will stay away!
Here is a quick breakdown of what we will do:
∙ we will put decals on our cars, approximately 4-6 weeks before the race weekend, and then show them off as much as possible. We will plan some photo meets and ops and take tons of pictures.
∙ Mid-Ohio and/or the IRL will have some pre-race activities for us to attend (more photo ops). This schedule has not been finalized and can change day-to-day because of the time demands of the Indycar drivers and their schedule. This may include some on-track activities - such as an S2000 parade with each carrying an Indycar driver or VIP or nobody
Each participant (car) will get;
- weekend General Admission tickets (two)
- paddock passes (two)
- a special infield parking pass (one)
Also, discount coupons for food, souvenirs, etc...

The max count will be 40 - 45, but this will be limited to Ohio folks and those in surrounding states (like last year.)
I've started a list below.
Use this thread for all questions - I will answer as soon as i can, and I will add info as it becomes available. Of course, all of this is subject to change without notice
This is shaping up to be the Ohio event of the year - so spread the word!
As a side note, to quote our Moderator and Community Organizer (Mocky) on the subject of folks who took advantage of the S2000 WTD event but didn't register;
"......there is no way to enforce it, just don't expect to participate in any other events (at least in Ohio), for quite some time...... if you have ever planned an event before, you know how much effort goes into organizing them. it irks me to see people taking advantage of their hard work, and this same sentiment has been expressed by many others (not just in the ohio forums)."
I'm in complete agreement and fair warning was stated in the Ohio WTD thread. If anyone fits this description, you are off of the list.

Thank you very much Pete for putting this event together again. I am looking forward to another great weekend. (yes, even with the rain, I think last year was a success)
Let me know if there is anything I can help out with
