Thats even better than a couple months ago. I also think that they advertise a quicker sat acquisition on the newer models. Frankly, I can acquire sats sitting in my garage with my 760, within about 10-15 seconds. YMMV

Honestly, I don't think I have enough experience with mine to answer your question. After much research, I "cheaped out" and went with the 760, because I knew I wouldn't use it every day. Mostly on trips. That being said, I just got a Panavise mount for the S, and find an excuses to use it. I really think you can't go wrong with either.

Did you try that website? You might find a thread comparing those two units (or 760 vs 775). If not post the question, you might get better advice than I could give
