Hi All,
I'm relatively new to the board. I've got an S2K on order, will arrive mid-late August.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS THREAD AND ALL THE PICS!!!
I ordered Black/Black for my S2K, but I was really waffling on Silverstone vs. Black. I'd heard horror stories on the detailing maintenance required for a black car. On the other hand, every third car here in Sydney is some shade of silver, and, for me, silver is rather bland, while I've always found a black sports car to be sexy.
I've come to the conclusion that, to me, silverstone looks great up close (I like the metallic paint), but looks more bland further away (can't see the metallic sparkle), while black looks great further away, but will show more blemishes and dust/dirt/swirls up close (more than silverstone). I do wish the S2K came in a metallic black, something like the Nighthawk Black Pearl available for the Accord and Civic. I just like the sparkle of a metallic paint.
I know it will take a lot of work for my car to look anywhere close to all the pics I've seen. But, this thread, and all the great pics, has confirmed that I made the right decision (for me).
If the thread is still active when the car arrives, I'll post some pics. But, in the early days at least, it will just be stock, so you might find those pics rather boring
