harnesses on stock seats

the stock 3 point would be safer on stock seats then harnesses.

i have a question for you guys

i know the stock roll hoops aren't regarded as adequate protection, but why is that exactly? i've heard that it's because with your helmet on, the hoops don't run high enough to cover your head. is there anything other than that?

I rolled my first S and if it wasn't for the stock roll hopes I'd be dead right now.

It's not so much that the factory hoops wont hold up, but that they're not high enough to protect your head and the A pillar may or may not withstand the force of the car flipping on it's lid. Your sig pic is a good example. If you take out the A pillar/windshield bar and draw a line between a "hard point" (the tops of the front fenders) and the top of the factory roll hoops, you'll see that the line runs through the area around most peoples chins to nose. Not a good thing in a roll over.
