hey sup guys? So i just recently installed my J's Racing rear diffuser... i never really got to see any good up close pictures of the diffuser on someones car.

Is it suppose to be leaving a gap on the sides like this??

also, do you guys with the J's racing diffuser have problems with dirt/sand and water getting inside it? If so how do you guys get it all out??

Thats why I have the GP Sports rear skirts, to hide the gaps.
And yes, mine is like a lake, rocks, pebbles, tiny tiny weeds growing in there..
Have to remove the diffuser to get it all out. I hardly bother these days.

So did I....however, I didn't like how busy the rear end looked with the integrated diffuser and GP valences and a wing. Also, I didn't like how the valences had to be mounted, remounted, and so on over time. Those things were horrible to try and keep on when the car was being pushed to its limits.

In the end, I removed the valences but kept the diffuser. It's easy to pull the bumper cover to still get the diffuser to tuck into the bumper. No need for valences.

Here is how she sat back in '06:

I've never had to remove my rear valances, so its never been an issue for me.

For mine, they'd always come undone or loosen up at the edge/corner right near the exhaust tip. I hated the gap that would form, would then have to have the body shop either reattach them over and over again...finally, I had the body shop epoxy them on.

In the end, on my car, I always thought that there was too much going on with the valences, J's Racing diffuser, and the Mugen SS wing. I also started to not like how the diffuser looked narrower inside the valences....like a pan. Had the diffuser sat more flat and even with the bottom edge of the valences, I would have kept my setup.

I just stick a shop vac either through the exhaust cut out area, or behind the rear tire area...All diffusers will eventually become sand boxes since we don't have a rear fender liner and the rear tire will kick up everything into the diffuser. However its amazing what you can find in the diffuser and what you pick up on the road. I've even found a bolt that came off in the engine bay that I somehow picked back up in my diffuser
