Why not spacers? They do no harm and increase your overall track width and footprint? As long as you get some quality spacers they should be very safe
Nichigo: You're 100% right, the rear bumper bolt protrudes quite a bit into the wheel wheel so I may do some surgery using my Dremel later today. I found it's easier to access this bolt if you remove the taillights to do the cutting.

get some custom wheels if you're that visually needy. stock wheels never cut it.

To each their own - you go equip your car with some wheels you like, and we will use our oem's with spacers

THANK YOU for starting this thread and all the info!
im interested/planning on getting spacers (15mm front and rear) until i save enough to get BBS LM's
Questions
with 15mm spacer for the rear, can i run 255 rubber (CR spec) instead of stock/base 245 without rubbing? i plan on lowering it about 1"-1.5"
are spacer safe to use on track days? how much torque is required when installing the extended studs and spacers?
i really want to get the NSX rims you have as well, they look awesome

you might be able to lower it after you do that

Well with no fender rolling, I'm pretty sure you can NOT run 255 rears because I had to raise my back 2 turns on the coils to avoid hitting on extreme bumps.
Fronts I think you can get away with 225 up front since there is still some clearance space.
I torque the wheel spacer bolts to the same 90 ft lbs as my wheel bolts.
I actually like the oem rims - tried a few aftermarkets and don't really like the look. Plus you can't beat the cost savings.
However it's really not a money issue for me since god knows how much I dumped on my s2000 already. I just want a clean look and I think the oem nsx rims are my favorite so far

I'm running a 225 tire up front and a 255 in the rear on oem ap2 v1 wheels. So with stock fenders you think i can get away with running a 15mm spacer up front, and a 10mm spacer in the rear? I plan on lowering my car about 1.5 inches from stock height.
Also what brand of spacers do you recommend front/rear?

what year NSX are those from? Are they not staggered 16"/17"?
The spacers are made by H/R, again please READ as I posted all of this info already...grrrrr (even gave you guys the model numbers!)
Fronts are running 15mm H/R DRS #3065640 (need longer studs, labor)
Rears are running 25mm H/R DRM #5065640 (just bolt on has studs)
Basically all newer body style nsx's (2002+) come with these forged lightweight wheels. I did not have a scale handy but they weigh considerable LESS than the ap2 oem wheel!
Wheels came from my other car shown here (no spacers yet when this pic was taken)
H/R 25mm spacers being installed:

Well that's purely a matter of opinion. I still have yet to see an aggressive fitment aftermarket wheel that looks classy and polished on an S. IMO, the OEM AP2 V1's and V2's suit the car the best.

factory wheels do not maximize the aesthetic potential of your beloved s2000. PERIOD. i can't believe someone's arguing with me here.
but then this is the internet where even neon lights on perfectly good headlights is... celebrated.
