It's actually not really gone, just very discolored. The wheel is more of a dark gray now than black. It's still far from new but it's not completely junk yet either.

I love this look!
With these wheels do you retain the OEM ribbon cable assembly? I noticed it's not on one of my s2000's the other day.
Where's a good place to find how to wire these suckers properly?
I probably have a dozen of these wheels sitting around with nothing to do with them so I use them as hooks for my jackets
One of them is actually on a trophy I received back in 2006 from the Treffen VW event!

The Works Bell is the pukka Q/R.
I've had plenty of others, they have all developed play or had play to begin with. Works bell is worth the dough.

Just about any hub that's designed for the S should include any relays and adaptors you'll need.

How does 320 feel vs stock 350 ? I am interested in a 310 steering wheel and wonder if its too small (for daily driving, racing and for the eye ;P)
