question for all the people that have a custom color. how much is it usually for a complete paint job? and also for just the outside not jams bay etc. pearl preferrably
Im at almost 6k, after being quoted 4.5k be prepared for body needs more work then expected and running low on paint. Im having a complete color change minus the engine bay (i painted it flat black when i pulled my motor a couple months ago) shaved emblems on trunk and front bumper, license plate holes shaved and radio antenna shaved. All the little things add up quick, also better to pay a good shop for quality work, then a cheap shop for cheap work.

I know people who have painted there car 3 times now because they didn't get it done properly in the first place.

When I did mine, the shop estimated that they would have charged around 8k for the quality of my respray. The entire car was dismantled, all jams painted, engine bay, undersides of panels, insides of panels, behind the gas cap, under the trunk, under the hood, all panels block sanded, + additional work like rolling fenders/making them perfect, shaving antenna, a tonne of clear coat, the whole 9 yards.

While I did not pay nearly that, I put in a shitload of time dismantling the car myself, prepping the panels, and doing everything I could to save the shop labor. Then I had to reassemble the car, it's not easy making all the panels line up perfectly.

That was a looooong 2 weeks.

Wow, looks good!! But I'm glad I made my decision to skip this color when deciding which red to go with, otherwise it wouldn't be as unique as I wanted it to be!

I'm pretty sure I will be the only person in Asia to have an S2000 in the variation of OEM honda paint I'm using...

Will post pics in a month or so, when I (finally) get the car back from the shop...
