wouldnt it give you a slight rake? or do you just compensate the sidewall?

Yea run a larger sidewall up front, i did it with my volks and it looks great

if u look at side shots of most s2000's with 17s it looks like the rear wheel is a lot smaller than the front
well at least that's what it looks like to me
running a 18 in the rear kind of evens it out for me
