Can any one speak to what the law is meant to protect? Road reflectors? Rocks? Speedbumps? Is there a law about a car being to high off the ground?

there is a law is some countries on the height of the vehicle, for example in Kuwait lift kits on suv's are not allowed, you get a ticket if the cop was nice enough, and if it was lowered they dont really care that much if it was low. In Lebanon they dont give a crap lol, as long as your front and rear number plates are on the car, but in both countries if the car was low its not a problem in lebanon its oki if the car has a lift kit but in Kuwait its not, when it comes to registration the car should look normal.

i believe it is more about protecting the occupant of the vehicle in the event of rear end, a car too low will just be pushed under some cars/trucks. lifted trucks are suppose to have their bumpers lowered to a certain height as well, never happens though
