Wow, you just reminded me of this year's Wekfest SF trip haha. Worst driving experience ever... having to stop every 100 miles for gas due to only being able to fill 4 gallons at a time. Hitting my front bumper, sideskirts, frame, and exhaust (in that order) on every single reflector and bridge overpass (those who have driven from socal to norcal know what i'm talking about). Sparking reflectors and shooting them out everywhere, shooting flames from my exhaust, etc. And all of this was done in POURING rain and a bit of snow. On the way back, my tires were cording already.

But best of all, no fender rub (and I was tucking rim in the back with 2 people in the car). Driving on rubber band tires just sucks period.

My biggest regret was not running 19's as the radius was designed for.

Here is a picture of my car on other wheels after wekfest, 18x12 +23 285/35, 18x10 +22 235/40.
